About the program

Fairwind Yacht Club has an active group of racers both in Marina del Rey and in Channel Islands Harbor that participates regularly in local sail races. Some members race on Fairwind boats, some crew for skippers that are members of other yacht clubs.

In 2017, the club boats in Channel Islands were raced in the Wet Wednesday series, organized by the Anacapa Yacht Club. Boats in the Marina del Rey fleet competed in the Tuesday Night series, Barbeque series and Sundown series. In September, we were the Race Committee for Series #6 of the Tuesday Night Trials and hosted a well-attended dock party.

In earlier years, the club has organized ASMBYC Home Port Regattas, SCYA Midwinter Regattas for Hobie Waves, and Hobie Wave Summer Series.
